证照办理

一、签证、拘留许可办理流程

在中国学习期限内的来华留学生需要办理居留许可。来华留学生持X签证入境后，签证有效期为30天，必须在入境30天内前往国际教育学院学生管理部门申请办理居留许可。

备注：学习签证不能变更为其他任何类型的签证。

（一）首次申请居留许可需要提供以下材料：

1．有效护照及签证；

2．入学通知书（原件及复印件）；

3．新疆医科大学国际教育学院出具的居留许可延期介绍信；

4．外国留学人员来华签证申请表，（JW202/JW201表）原件；

5．乌鲁木齐出入境检验检疫局体检中心开具的健康验证证明原件；

6．住宿登记卡（原件或复印件）；

7．两张带条码2寸白底照片（必须在乌鲁木齐市公安局出入境管理支队办理大厅当场采集）。

How to apply for a study visa?

As a new student, you need to enter China with admission notice and JW202 (or JW201 for CSC students). After the admission and payment of application fee, you need to apply for a “Study Visa”(X).

The following documents are usually required to apply for the student residence permit visa:

1．Valid passport and valid visa

2．Admission Notice issued by Xinjiang Medical University(original and photocopy)

3．A introduction letter for the visa extension issued by International Education College of XJMU

4．Original Form JW201 or Form JW202

5．The original medical check-up record issued by the Health Center of the Exit and Entry Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Urumqi;

6．Registrationcard (original or photocopy)

7．Two 2 inch white photo with barcode (must be collected at the hall of the Exit and Entry Management Detachment of Urumqi Public Security Bureau).

Please note that you have to apply your study visa within 30 days after you enter China. Holders of X1 Visa shall, within 30 days from the date of their entry, apply to the exit/entry administration for foreigners' residence permits.

The International Education College will help you apply for the residence permit during the registration process. Please closely follow and co-operate with our registration procedures.

（二）居留留许可延期：

居留许可有效期满后还需在中国学习，需要办理居留许可的延期手续。申请居留许可延期需要提供以下材料：

1．有效护照及在有效期内的居留许可原件及复印件；

2．新疆医科大学国际教育学院出具的居留许可延期介绍信；

3．外国留学人员来华签证申请表，（JW202/JW201表）复印件；

4．出入境检验检疫中心出具的有效期内的健康证明；

5．住宿登记表（原件及复印件）；

6．两张带条码2寸白底照片（必须在乌鲁木齐市公安局出入境管理支队办理大厅当场采集）。

备注：新疆医科大学留学生须在签证到期前一个月内提出延签申请，并缴清所有费用方可办理延期手续。

How to apply for the visa extension?

After the expiration of the residence permit, students who haven’t finish the study in China need to apply for a residence permit extension. The following materials are required to apply for a residence permit extension:

1．The original passport and a copy of the residence permit during the validity period;

2．A introduction letter for the extension of the residence permit issued by the International Education College of Xinjiang Medical University;

3．A copy of the visa application form for foreign students studying in China, (JW202/JW201);

4．Health certificate issued by the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Center during the validity period;

5．Registrationcard (original or photocopy);

6．Two 2 inch white photo with barcode (must be collected on the spot at the exit hall of the Exit and Entry Management Detachment of Urumqi Public Security Bureau).

Notes:International students of Xinjiang Medical University must apply for an extension one month in advance on the condition of paying all the fee.

二、一卡通办理流程

留学生新生办理报到入学手续后，由国际教育学院统一到学校一卡通中心办理校园卡，该卡是多功能卡，可用于个人身份信息证明、就餐、图书馆、超市购买物品。请妥善保管。可在一卡通中心或食堂校园圈存机充值。首次办理免费。若有遗失，及时告知班主任，经许可后到一卡通中心自行办理，并自行缴纳相关费用。 

How to apply for a student card?

After your registration, the International Education College will help you to get a student card. This card have access to the library, canteen and shopping inside the campus. Let your dean know first if your card is lost.

三、银行卡办理流程

学校周边有：

中国银行 位于：新医路305号

农业银行 位于：鲤鱼山南路94号

中国邮政，位于：鲤鱼山南路140号附近 可办理西联汇款

校内设有工商银行营业厅，可办理工行卡，以便支付相关证件，业务费用

How to apply for a bank card?

There are four banks around the university, Bank of China (located in NO. 305 Xinyi Road), Agricultural Bank of China (located in NO. 94 Liyushan SouthRoad), China Postal Bank (located in NO. 140 Liyushan SouthRoad), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (located in the campus)

四、手机卡办理流程

新生入校后，国际教育学院将统一办理联通手机sim卡，学生可自行选择业务套餐。若遗失，请联系班主任重新办理。

How to apply for a sim card?

After your registration, the International Education College will help you to get a sim card. Please let your dean know first if your sim card is lost.

五、校内住宿

1．留学生新生办理报到入学手续后，上交两张照片，由国际教育学院安排进行入住登记，签订入住协议，领取宿舍房卡。新入学的学生学可购买学校提供的床上用品，包括棉被、棉褥、枕头、床单、被罩、枕套。

2．宿舍内不准留宿任何人，包括新生家长。家长如有需求，可预订学校周边的宾馆、酒店

3．洗衣机：楼内设有洗衣机房，可付费洗衣。

4．每个房间内均配有电视机一台、冰箱一台、饮水机一台，单人床两张、写字书柜两个、衣柜两个、独立卫生间。

5．每个房间在每天早晚固定时段供应热水。

6．新生在国际教育学院注册登记住宿后，由本人申请，学院同意后，将到学校信息中心申请网络账号，开通后，可免费使用网络。

About the hostel

1．After your registration, International Education College will arrange the hostel room for you. You need to sign the hostel contract before you get the room card.

2．Visitors including freshmen’s parents are not allowed to stay in the dorm overnight. There are hotels located around the university.

3．Laundry room is available in the hostel building with paid service.

4．Each room is equipped with a TV, a refrigerator, a water dispenser, two twin size beds, two tables, two cupboards and a washroom.

5．Hot water will be available at morning and evening as schedule.

6．Students can use the free WIFI by applying for a new account after getting the permission from the International Education College.

六、餐饮信息

1．校园内共有三个餐厅，分别为杏林餐厅（位于5号公寓楼1楼）、新怡餐厅（位于1号公寓1，2层）、桃李餐厅（位于逸夫楼背面）。

2．就餐卡即一卡通，请妥善保管。

3．在新怡餐厅专门设有留学生窗口，提供我校主要留学生生源国的特色饭菜，建议留学生在校内餐厅就餐。

About the canteen

There are three canteen on campus, Xinlin, Taoli and Xinyi. The Xinyi canteen opens a window for International students, which mainly provides their home food. Student card can be used as canteen card.

七、邮寄服务

快递服务：学校图书馆旁边的近邻宝服务点，有各类快递公司摊点，可以邮寄邮件、包裹。

About the postal service

Mailing and parcel service are available in the service area near the university library.

八、医院

留学生可就近到健康管理中心就医（位于新疆医科大学西门），或者到新疆医科大学第一附属医院门诊或急救中心就医。

About the hospital

International students can go to see the doctor in the nearest Health Care Center, or if necessary, go to the Emergency Center of the First Affiliated Hospital. 九、交通信息

新疆医科大学有4个校门，分别为东门、南门、西门（校医院）、北门。

其中南门有BRT1、3号线，公交车59路、532路，76路等多线路公交车站点，西门有153路、303路、309路、52路、922路等多路公交车站点。

新疆医科大学南门有地铁1号线，直达乌鲁木齐市地窝堡国际机场。

Xinjiang Medical University has 4 school gates, namely East Gate, South Gate, West Gate and North Gate.

In south gate, there are BRT No. 1 and No. 3 lines, city bus lines 59, 532 and 76．In West Gate, there are city bus lines 153, 303, 309, 52 and 922．

Metro Line 1 which is in the South Gate of Xinjiang Medical University goes directly to Diwobao International Airport in Urumqi.

十、生活常识

（一）节日和假日

一学年里，学生一般会有以下这几个假期：元旦、寒假（春节、元宵节）、清明节、劳动节、端午节、暑假、中秋节、国庆节。

元旦：1月1日

寒假：通常为一月下旬至二月中旬（春节为农历一月一日，元宵节一月十五日

清明节：4月5日

劳动节：5月1日

端午节（龙舟节）：农历五月五日

暑假：通常为七月初至九月初

中秋节：农历八月十五日

国庆节：10月1日

如果国家法定假日恰逢周末，在假期的前后通常会补一或两天，作为工作日。每年的具体节假日日期请参考新疆医科大学校历和学校的通知。

（二）温度换算

华氏换算为摄氏：华氏度数减去32，再乘以5/9。

（三）时区

北京时间（国际时区的东8区）。

（四）电压

中国的民用电压是220伏，请注意准备好转换插座（电压适配器）。

（五）饮用水

建议饮用开水或纯净水，国内水管出水非饮用水。

About theLife in China

Holidays and Festivals: New Year's Day (1st January), Winter Holiday (Spring Festival, Lantern Festival) (usually from late January to mid February), Ching Ming Festival (5th April), Labor Day (Dragon Boat Festival) (lunar 5th May), Summer Holiday (usually from early July to early September), Mid-Autumn Festival (lunar 15th August), National Day (1st October).

Temperature:Fahrenheit is converted to Celsius:Fahrenheit minus 32, then multiplied by 5/9．

Time zone:Beijing time (East 8th District of the International Time Zone).

Voltage:China's civilian voltage is 220 volts, please be prepared to convert the socket (voltage adapter).

Drinking water:It is recommended to drink boiled water or purified water. Domestic water pipes are not drinking water.
