新疆医科大学留学生应遵守中国人民共和国法律，并根据相关规定办理相应签证、居留许可手续。

International students of Xinjiang Medical University shall abide by the laws of the People's Republic of China and handle the visa and residence permit in accordance with relevant regulations.

一、住宿管理

外国人在中国境内居住，应当依照法律规定，办理住宿登记，在抵达中国后24小时内，由本人持护照到当地公安机关申报，填写临时住宿登记卡。需要特别注意的是，如果留学生更换了护照、签证或者变更了住址，必须在10日之内重新办理住宿登记，否则将会被视为非法居留。

1. AccommodationManagement

Foreigners living in China shall register for accommodation in accordance with the law. Within 24 hours after arriving in China, they shall submit their passports to the local police station for declaration and fill in the temporary accommodation registration card. It is important to note that if a student changes his or her passport, visa or change of address, he/she must re-register the accommodation within 10 days, otherwise it will be considered illegal.

二、首次办理签证、居留许可

在中国学习期限内的来华留学生需要办理居留许可。来华留学生持X签证入境后，签证有效期为30天，必须在入境30天内前往国际教育学院学生管理部门申请办理居留许可。

备注：学习签证不能变更为其他任何类型的签证。

首次申请居留许可需要提供以下材料：

1．有效护照及签证；

2．入学通知书（原件及复印件）；

3．新疆医科大学国际教育学院出具的居留许可延期介绍信；

4．外国留学人员来华签证申请表，（JW202/JW201表）原件；

5．乌鲁木齐出入境检验检疫局体检中心开具的健康验证证明原件；

6．住宿登记卡（原件及复印件）；

7．两张带条码2寸白底照片（必须在乌鲁木齐市公安局出入境管理支队办理大厅当场采集）。

2.TheFirsttime Visa orResidencePermitApplying

International students studying in China during the academy period in China are required to apply for a residence permit. After entering China with an X-visa, the visa is valid for 30 days. You must apply to the Student Management Department of the International Education College for a residence permit within 30 days of entry.

Note:The study visa cannot be changed to any other type of visa.

The first application for a residence permit requires the following materials:

1．A valid passport and visa;

2．Admission Letter (original and photocopy) ;

3．An introduction letter for the extension of the residence permit issued by International Education College of Xinjiang Medical University;

4．The original visa application form for foreign students studying in China, (JW202/JW201);

5．The original health certificate issued by the Physical Examination Center of the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Urumqi;

6．Accommodation registration card (original and photocopy) ;

7．Two photos with barcodes (2 inches of white background can be collected on the spot at Visa office of Urumqi Police station).

三、居留许可延期：

居留许可有效期满后还需在中国学习，需要办理居留许可的延期手续。申请居留许可延期需要提供以下材料：

1．有效护照及在有效期内的居留许可原件及复印件；

2．新疆医科大学国际教育学院出具的居留许可延期介绍信；

3．外国留学人员来华签证申请表，（JW202/JW201表）复印件；

4．出入境检验检疫中心出具的有效期内的健康证明；

5．住宿登记表（原件及复印件）；

6．两张带条码2寸白底照片（必须在乌鲁木齐市公安局出入境管理支队办理大厅当场采集）。

备注：新疆医科大学留学生须在签证到期前一个月内提出延签申请，并缴清所有费用方可办理延期手续。

3. TheResidencePermitExtension:

The students who want to continue further studying after the residence permit expired need to apply for residence permit extension within valid period. The following materials are required to apply for a residence permit extension:

1．The original passport and photocopy, the original and photocopy of the residence permit during the validity period;

2．Anintroduction letter for the extension of the residence permit issued by International Education College of Xinjiang Medical University;

3．A copy of the visa application form for foreign students studying in China, (JW202/JW201) ;

4．The health certificate within the validity period issued by Physical Examination Center of the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Urumqi;

5．Accommodation registration form (original and photocopy) ;

6．Two photos with barcodes (2 inches of white background can be collected on the spot at Visa office of Urumqi Police station) ;

Remarks:International students of Xinjiang Medical University must clear all the payment before proceeding with the extension and apply for the extension 20 days in advance before the expiration.

四、签证以及居留许可的变更

根据不同情况，办理变更时还需准备其他材料

1．学生申请由工作即Z签证转为居留许可，还需提供原单位工作结束证明；

2．学生申请变更居留许可的所在院校，还需提供原学校结业证明及无反对继续学习证明。

4.Visa andResidencePermitChange;

According to different situations, some extra materials must be prepared for the change.

1．The student's apply for residence permit from Z-visa;need to provide the end of work certificate from the original workplace;

2．The student applies for the change of residence permit from other university, where must provide the original study completion certificate and no objection certificate of continue study in other university.

五、其他

（一）更换护照

来华留学生在中国更换护照后，必须在领取新护照后的10日内，首先前往新疆医科大学国际教育学院申请并领取《签证居留许可申请表》，之后前往乌鲁木齐市公安局出入境管理支队办理居留许可延期手续，否则将因非法居留受到处罚。

5.Other

(1) Passport Change

After changing passports, international students must apply to the International Education College of Xinjiang Medical University after receiving new passport within 10 days and obtain the Visa Residence Permit Application Form. Then, go to the Exit and Entry Management of Urumqi Police Station to apply for new residence permit, otherwise it will be punished for illegal residence.

（二）护照和签证的遗失和补办

当学生发现并确认护照遗失后，必须马上按照如下程序处理：

1．来华留学生本人持有效证件到丢失地派出所报案，并领取报失证明；

2．持派出所开具的护照报失证明、新疆医科大学国际教育学院开具的证明信前往乌鲁木齐市公安局出入境管理支队开具护照报失证明；

3．凭报失证明前往本国驻华使馆申请新护照；

4．领取新护照后，来华留学生必须在取得护照后的10日内首先前往新疆医科大学国际教育学院申请并领取《签证居留许可申请表》，之后前往乌鲁木齐市公安局出入境管理支队办理签证或居留许可补办手续，并及时办理证件信息更新手续。

(2) Loss and replacement of passport and visa

When students discover and confirm the loss of passport, the follows must be immediately preceded:

1．The student registers to the local police station with valid certificates and receive police report of passport loss;

2．Submit the police report of passport loss issued by the local police station and the introduction letter issued by the International Education College of Xinjiang Medical University to visa office of the Urumqi Police Station and obtain a passport loss certificate;

3．Apply for a new passport from the Embassy in China with the passport loss certificate;

4．After receiving new passport, the student must apply to the International College of Education of Xinjiang Medical University within 10 days and obtain the Visa Residence Permit Application Form, then go to visa office of the Urumqi Police Station for visa or The residence permit updates, the document information updates procedures need be processed in a timely manner to local police as well.

（三）签证和居留许可的注销

当来华留学生发生停学、休学、保留学籍、转学、退学等学籍变更时，必须要注销所持的由学校颁发的签证或居留许可，变更为有效期为1个月的0次旅游（L）签证，否则学校不能批准学籍变更。来华留学生需要持护照及住宿登记表，首先前往新疆医科大学国际教育学院申请注销居留许可，之后备齐以下材料亲自前往乌鲁木齐市公安局出入境管理支队办理居留许可注销手续：

1．《签证居留许可申请表》；

2．学生本人的有效护照及签证；

3．住宿登记表（原件或复印件）；

4．学校开具的签证或居留许可注销证明信；

5．一张带条码2寸白底或蓝底的照片。

(3) Cancellation of visa and residence permit

When student has an academy status change (suspension, retention, transfer, quit), it is necessary to cancel the visa or residence permit issued by our university and change it to 0-Entry (L) visa valid for one month. Otherwise the university cannot approve the change of academy status. The student has to take passport and accommodation registration form goes to the International Education College apply for cancellation of the residence permit. After that, go to visa office of the Urumqi Police Station to apply for the cancellation of the residence permit.

1．Application Form for Visa Residence Permit;

2．Valid passport and visa;

3．Accommodation registration form (original or photocopy) ;

4．An introduction letter of cancellation of visa or residence permit;

5．A photo with a barcode (2 inches on white background).

（四）签证和居留许可过期的处理

当来华留学生未在有效期内办理签证或居留许可延长造成过期，留学生本人需要首先前往居住地派出所领取预住宿登记表，之后到当地派出所接受处罚，持处罚通知单及住宿登记表到新疆医科大学国际教育学院申请并领取签证居留许可申请表。

(4) Processing of visa and residence permit expiration

The student who is in China does not apply for visa or residence permit extension within the validity period lead to the expiration, he/she must go to the local police station to register the pre-accommodation registration form and acquire the punishment, then bring the penalty notice and accommodation registration form to International Education college apply for visa residence permit application form.
